For many gay men, the perfect day is the perfect time to celebrate a special milestone.

But for many, it’s also the perfect opportunity to explore their gay side, as many gay-friendly businesses and events are celebrating their 100th birthday this year.

The 100th anniversary of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, which launched the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) to fight for the rights of gay and lesbian people, is on March 21, 2018.

GLAAD, the group that was founded in 1991, has been working on its 100th year and is focused on the LGBTQ community and its allies, as well as educating the public about their experiences.

They’re encouraging businesses to “celebrate with a gay-themed celebration, a gay pride parade, and an event that highlights the importance of a healthy gay lifestyle and community,” according to a press release.

“Celebrate your love for yourself and your gay friends, your friends’ love for you and your community.”
