HOUSTON — The Astros have signed center fielder Corey Hart to a minor league contract, the team announced.

Hart, 23, is hitting .286 with five homers and 18 RBIs in 21 games for the Astros, who have won five straight.

He batted .300 in the minors in 2013 and ’14.

Hart was signed by the Houston Astros after hitting .291 with 12 homers and 44 RBIs for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2015.

He is the first player signed by Houston since Chris Carter and has been with the Astros since July 2014.
