In a year of sweeping cultural change, the 2017 Best Picture nominees have been unveiled by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which is celebrating its 70th anniversary in January.

Here are the best films in the country in 2017:The Golden Globes, the Academy’s annual awards ceremony, kicks off at 9:00 p.m.
